Community Toolkit Co. — Email Privacy Notice
This notice covers optional Community Toolkit Co. email updates.
Who is responsible?
Newport Support Network CIC operates Community Toolkit Co. and is the controller responsible for the personal information described in this notice. For questions about your information, contact communitytoolkitco@gmail.com or write to 92 Commercial Street, Newport, NP20 1LS.
What we collect and why
When you request email updates, we collect your email address and a record of your signup and confirmation. Our email platform also records delivery, bounce and unsubscribe events. We use this information to send the practical guidance, free-resource updates and occasional offers you request, manage delivery and respect your choices. Subscription is optional and is not required to access free resources.
Your choice
We rely on your consent to send these updates. You join the updates list only after confirming your email address. You can withdraw consent using the unsubscribe link in an update or by emailing us. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
Who processes the information
We use Brevo to manage signup, confirmation and email delivery. Authorised people managing Community Toolkit Co. can access the records needed for that work. Brevo uses service providers for hosting, security and support. Information may be processed outside the UK, including in the European Union, United States and India. Brevo’s data-processing agreement describes its international-transfer safeguards, including contractual protections and supplementary measures. You can ask us for further information about these arrangements.
Email tracking
We have configured Brevo to require recorded permission for individual open-and-click tracking and not to track contacts whose permission is unknown. Signing up for our updates does not, by itself, give permission for individual engagement tracking. Brevo still processes delivery, bounce and unsubscribe information to operate the email service. We do not claim that this setting removes all technical or aggregate processing.
Keeping your information
We keep your active subscription record while you remain subscribed. After you withdraw consent, we retain the minimum suppression information needed to prevent further marketing emails while we operate this mailing service. We retain evidence of your consent and withdrawal only for as long as necessary to demonstrate your choices and handle related queries or disputes. Our Brevo transactional email logs are configured to expire after one month, and new transactional email previews are not stored. This log setting does not automatically delete your contact or suppression record.
Your rights and complaints
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct, erase or restrict use of your information, and exercise applicable objection and portability rights. Contact us using the details above. You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office: https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/
