Wrap Up Newport Has Now Closed

Wrap Up Newport 2025 has officially finished and cannot be extended further. Thanks to the incredible generosity of people across Newport — and our partnership with HandsOn London — a total of 487 coats were donated and redistributed to people who needed them most this winter.

This was more than a coat collection. It was community action at its best.

A Community Effort That Made a Real Difference
Wrap Up Newport runs once a year as part of a national winter coat appeal coordinated by HandsOn London, supporting local partners to keep people warm during the coldest months.

In Newport, donated coats reached:

People experiencing homelessness
Families facing financial pressure
Older residents
People living in temporary or insecure accommodation
Every coat helped someone face winter with warmth, dignity, and reassurance.

Why Wrap Up Newport Has Now Closed
Wrap Up Newport normally runs in November. This year, due to demand, the campaign was extended into December.

We have now reached full capacity:

No remaining storage space
No ability to accept further coats or clothing
Closing the campaign ensures:

Safe storage and handling
Fair and timely distribution
No loss or waste of donations
This pause allows us to deliver support properly and respectfully.
