Celebrating Community: Age Alive Visits The Open Table & The Open Pantry
Welcoming Age Alive to The Open Table & The Open Pantry Project

We were honored to welcome the board members of Age Alive for an exclusive behind-the-scenes preview of The Open Table and The Open Pantry Project as we gear up for our grand launch. Their visit marked a significant milestone in our journey to create inclusive, community-driven spaces in Newport.
A Sneak Peek into Our Vision
In preparation for our official opening, we’ve been conducting a series of soft launches—trial runs designed to fine-tune our services and ensure everything runs seamlessly. These have been invaluable in identifying areas for improvement, allowing us to craft the best possible experience for our community.
During their visit, Age Alive board members explored our facilities, engaged with our team, and shared valuable insights. Their perspectives play a crucial role in shaping our approach to community engagement and service delivery, ensuring that we truly meet the needs of those we serve.
Celebrating Our Partnership with Age Alive
We are thrilled to officially partner with Age Alive, a Newport-based charity dedicated to empowering individuals over 50, particularly those from Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) communities. Since its founding in 2008, Age Alive has enriched lives through diverse activities, including creative writing, storytelling, choir singing, handcrafts, walking, swimming, healthy eating, and exercise.

Their mission to promote social inclusion and prevent isolation aligns perfectly with our values. Together, we aim to create welcoming spaces where individuals can connect, share experiences, and support one another.
Looking Ahead: Building a Stronger Community Together
As we move closer to our official launch, we are excited about the possibilities that lie ahead. Our collaboration with Age Alive is just the beginning of many partnerships aimed at fostering meaningful connections and enriching our community.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Age Alive board members for their visit and invaluable contributions. Their insights are helping us refine our approach and ensure our services truly benefit Newport’s diverse community.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to grow and build something truly special—together.
