We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our 12-Month Food Exchange Project, an initiative designed to support ethnic minorities and vulnerable individuals in Newport by redistributing surplus food and essential supplies while fostering stronger community connections.

Our Vision
At the heart of this project lies a simple yet powerful idea: local businesses, shops, and communities working hand in hand to support each other and those in need. By encouraging local businesses to donate surplus food, we aim to minimize waste and maximize impact, ensuring that resources are used to benefit those who need them most.

How It Works
Our project operates as a food donation exchange hub. Shops, businesses, and community members contribute surplus food, which we then redistribute to individuals and families in need. This initiative ensures culturally appropriate food and essential supplies are available to the diverse communities of Newport.

While our services remain free for those who are vulnerable or unable to pay, we kindly ask those who can afford it to contribute £5.00 when using the service. These contributions help keep the project running and ensure we can continue providing for those in need.
